Lottie loves the idea of being able to have stories and memories attached to places through photographs. In 2018, Lottie visited a friend studying in Japan; during this trip she experimented with double exposures on 35mm film and was really pleased with the outcome of them as the layers and colours worked so well together within the one image. Due to the Japanese culture being so different to ours; Lottie found that the double exposures worked really well as a narrative and therefore decided to title the photograph 'Lost in Japan'. Lottie submitted three photographs and was pleased that one of them was shortlisted for the exhibition.
